Gate Management
Airport Gate Management & Optimization
Gate assignment optimization, conflict detection, and utilization analytics for terminal operations and capacity planning.

Gates are one of the scarcest resources at a busy airport, and assignment conflicts ripple into delays on the ramp. Gate Management optimizes gate assignment, detects conflicts before they happen, and measures how gates are actually used.
The same analytics support terminal operations day to day and capacity planning for the long term.
Capabilities
Every gate, used well
Assignment optimization
Gate assignments are optimized against aircraft size, turn times, airline preferences, and constraints.
Conflict detection
Overlapping or infeasible assignments are flagged as schedules change.
Utilization analytics
Occupancy, turn times, and idle time are measured per gate and per period.
Capacity planning
Future schedules are tested against the gate plant to find shortfalls.
Architecture
How it works
1 · Ingest
Schedules, gate and stand attributes, and actual on/off-block times are loaded into Helios.
2 · Model
Constraint-based optimization builds assignments; utilization is computed from actuals.
3 · Deliver
Assignment plans, conflict alerts, and utilization dashboards.

FAQ
Common questions
How is access controlled?
By role, at the API layer. Every request to Helios passes through interceptors that check the caller’s role and scope before any data is returned, so the same rules apply whether the request comes from the application, an API client, or an integration. Nothing is governed inside the application itself.
